Tire Cracking
I have 2008 Cambria Itascia on Ford E-450 chassis with Michelin Tires. The RV only has about 4000 miles on it. I noticed a few weeks ago that the rear sidewalls of the outside tire (not near tread area) that was small splits / cracks.
I went to Ford because there still under the 12/12 warranty, they where covered. Upon further inspection from Ford, the inside rear tires where the same along with inside of the front tires. All six where replaced.
The RV gets used regular, proper tire pressure on all six tires, RV sits on concrete, I do not used any tire glaze, etc.
The question is what caused it;
RE: Itasca Cambria 26A
I own 2008 Cambria with ever option and love it. It has great tow capacity, great interior / exterior finishes and well built. Drives well. Only negative is that lacks storage for large items and tongue weight is low.
Great RV all the way around.
RE: Are posters here in denial??
Bottom line is if you want to travel, your going to pay. All costs have gone up related to fuel, from milk in a grocery store to UPS delivering that package on your door steps.
Have any you stayed at a hotel lately, it is not cheap. Have any you flown lately, it is not cheap. Add the two together and its less expense to use the RV and much more enjoyable with all the sceneries and memories you make.
I am 39 years old and newer to RV world. But the trips in the last year plus have been the best trips I have taken. This is my peace of mind from the high stress life we live.
RE: Motorhome Kayaking
We have 2008 Cambria. We tow them on trailer, which is the easiest (make sure the trailer can handle highway speed and at least 15" rims) or get a rack made by a welder to accommodate a horizontal mounting from corner to corner.
Good Luck
